Acne and Sun Exposure

Small bumps that appear after sun exposure are often related to a condition known as acne aestivalis (heat rash acne).

It commonly occurs on the face, especially the forehead, as this area is directly exposed to sunlight and heat.

Common characteristics

• Small, uniform bumps of similar size
• May have tiny pointed heads on the skin surface
• May not be clearly visible in the morning but become more noticeable in the afternoon to evening
• May be accompanied by itching or irritation

• Sun exposure and heat
• Sweat and trapped moisture
• Skin irritation
• In some cases, it may be associated with skin yeast

Condition tendency

• Can recur if triggering factors are still present
• If not properly managed, symptoms may gradually worsen or spread

Basic care

• Avoid strong sunlight and heat buildup
• Cleanse the face after sweating
• Use gentle, non-irritating skincare products
• Avoid scrubbing or rubbing the skin aggressively
