Picosecond Laser

 How Does Picosecond Laser Work?

Picosecond Laser technology delivers ultra-short pulses of energy at an extremely high speed. One picosecond equals one trillionth of a second (1/1,000,000,000,000 second). This allows pigment particles to absorb the laser energy efficiently and break down into tiny fragments, which can then be naturally eliminated by the body.

Because the energy is delivered so rapidly, there is minimal heat accumulation in the surrounding tissues. This helps reduce the risk of side effects and often requires less downtime compared to conventional laser technologies.

Discovery Pico can target excess pigmentation on the skin and also deliver energy into deeper skin layers to stimulate collagen and elastin remodeling. This promotes skin rejuvenation and improves overall skin quality.

The system offers two wavelengths:

• 532 nm – Ideal for superficial pigmentation concerns

• 1064 nm – Effective for deeper pigmentation and skin rejuvenation treatments
